In 1979, I decided to move to Ohio, and test my expertise up there
I lived with my grandmother, Delphia Croskey Lorson Hughes, for
a few months, and then, also, my Aunt and Uncle, Jim and Lucille Smith,
also for a few months, before moving into an apartment in North Canton, Ohio.
I lived on the second floor to the right of the door's entrance.
I also got a job, then, at Smyth Business Systems while living with them!
The commute was getting rough during the winter months,
after I was put on nights and weekends on a "on call basis."
I would have to commute then a lot more times, if the customer
required emergencey service! I , then, decided it was time to get an
apartment closer to work!
I rented an apartment in North Canton Ohio!
I was in Ohio, then from November 1979 to June 1983.
Robert's Grandmother Delphia Croskey Lorson Hughes,
and her sister Helen Croskey Shilling visiting Robert's
unfurnished apartment! Robert just moved in, with minimal
furnishings! His Grandmother, Delphia, also provided a
few items, dishes, a cot to sleep in, etc.! I did have a
few items of my own, also!
