Robert D. McKelvey Jr. Genealogy, Ancestry, and History Album Page 008ac In 1955, my parents rented a u-haul and moved the family and their
possessions to Florida by their maroon oldsmobile. My dad's mother, Blanch Jones McKelvey, and my mother's sister, Lucille Smith, also came along.
Our first stop would be to his Uncle Jess Jones' home in San Antonio, Florida.
He was going to let us live above his wash house! But because we
had more people along, he decided to allow us to live in his cabin
home in Bayport, Florida. Hence, there should be some pictures from this location.

My father found a job temporarily, at Brooks Furniture Store in Tampa,
Florida, and thus, we moved to an apartment in Tampa, Florida.
This account of this history remembered by my mother and researching to see
if any pictures available at this location! It was a short stay here!
He then, found a job with Spriggs Electric and Television, in
Dade City, Florida. Hence, the final settling of the McKelvey family
in this community. Thus, our next residence was in a block home,
on N. Highway 301, five miles north of the city,
and rented from "The Giella Family!"
Here are some pictures from this location!
